Monday Evening Course in Academic Figure Drawing and Figure Painting – 10 Sessions

Discover the fundamentals of the classical academic tradition with a focus on the human figure, while developing your artistic eye. This evening course in figure drawing and figure painting is open to both beginners and those with previous experience who wish to deepen their knowledge.

Over the course of ten inspiring sessions, we will work systematically with drawing and painting from the live model through direct observation. You will learn how to construct the human figure using correct proportions, anatomy, perspective, light, and shadow, creating convincing form, volume, and depth. The course then introduces the foundations of academic painting, focusing on colour, value, composition, and brushwork as applied to the human figure. The course is individually tailored
