Evening Course in Academic Drawing and Painting (Two Semesters)

This course offers both introductory and advanced studies in drawing, figure drawing, still life painting, and figure painting. Through practical exercises, participants will develop their ability to observe and depict form, proportions, structure, as well as light and shadow.

The instruction includes painting in both grisaille (a monochromatic painting technique) and with a full color palette. Special emphasis is placed on color theory, tonal values, color mixing, and color harmony, with the goal of providing participants with a solid understanding of the technical and artistic foundations of painting. The course is individually tailored

Course dates: August 26, September 9, September 23, October 7, October 21, November 4, November 18, December 2, and December 16.

Schedule: Every other Wednesday evening, from 5:45 pm to 8:45 pm.
