Evening Course in Academic Drawing and Painting 12 sessions ( per semester)
Instructor: Annika Berglund
The course begins with drawing, where participants develop their understanding of proportions, construction, light and shadow and accurate observation. This is followed by cast painting from plaster casts, focusing on light, shadow, value, and three-dimensional form. Participants will also practice figure drawing on toned paper from a live model, with a central focus on anatomy, proportions, light, and volume and overall effect.
During the second semester, studies in academic painting are deepened through still life painting in grisaille and color, focusing on values, color, color mixing, color temperature, color harmony, form and paint application. The course concludes with figure painting from a live model, where participants work with composition, color, light, shadow, modelling of form,
The course is suitable for both beginners and participants with previous experience. The course is individually tailored
